For every level up, you get these perk points. Where you level up as you play well in games by completing objectives given by your manager or just in general scoring goals and having good ratings. You would need to play well and complete objectives given by your manager at the start of every game to increase manager's trust in you in order to earn a starting spot in the team. And you could see whether or not if you are playing, on the bench, or not part of the squad for the upcoming games. There is a bar on the top left corner, indicating manager's trust in you. After decade of having player career mode in FIFA, FINALLY you can now come on as a sub. Seems like EA focused all its resources into the player career mode this year. Yes, we can now create our club but in terms of feature that actually impact the career mode itself when playing is basically none. Tbh, I am quite disappointed on this year's manager career mode. In terms of new features within career mode itself, there are no changes or very minor changes if you include the youth player models are more defined, and you don't have to manually sim through trainings anymore which actually is quite handy. However I haven't touched this department of the game during my 10hr early access so I'm just gonna leave it here. By doing this you would have to replace a team in the league you choose. You can now create your own club with customized crest, kit and stadium. NOTE: I play on the next gen, so I can't confirm if any of the below is also part of the old gen.
