This theme is literally packed full of options and functions. Each layout is based on a grid (Thanks again Vladmir Carrer for his work on The Golden Grid – a great source of my inspiration!), and each layout has a front-end feature that allows users to choose from 5 different color schemes. The images resize automatically to fit the custom width. In the administration back-end area – the layout can be configured in three different ways – ranging from 720px width to 960px width. So with mnml galleria, I think I’ve accomplished that. Not that I’m completely dismissing these themes – some are very, very nice, of course – I’m simply saying I don’t want to create a theme that looks like everyone else’s theme. So many have jquery slides for slideshows, are broken into two, maybe three columns with the side bar always perfectly organized on the right side alongside the row of advertisements…etc, etc. So many themes look so similar, and after awhile, they all run together and to me are very boring and dry and blog-like. currently, is working off of the fabulous "snapshot" theme designed and developed by the incredibly talented Elliot Jay Stocks.įor me, the first step in theme development is conceiving of a design that I’ve never really seen before. Mnml galleria has come into existence simply because I wanted to build my own gallery from scratch.
